According to the information, a mine blast took place near the Line of Control in Mankot sector of Poonch district on Saturday. An army soldier has been martyred in this. The martyr jawan has been identified as 27-year-old Kamal Vaidya, village Ghumarvi of Lagmanvi village panchayat of Bhoranj subdivision. DC Hamirpur Devshweta Banik said that information has been received through phone and information is being collected.

Kamal had returned after taking leave in April
